I dream of having electricity to run spot light!!!
James
haha, have you got a new battery in it or is it something to do with the wiring?

Reckon it could be a poltergeist draining the energy Whhhoooooooooo!!
Is the starter solonoid sticking like mine did a while back perhaps?? That would drain it quick enough if the solonoid kept clicking away
SATVC
no the starter works perfect
its grae using his vooodoooooo poowwwweeerrrsss
WELLZY
would look a lot better if it had wider tyres on the front!!
James
i know, but then i would have to buy a new set of wheels for the tyres to fit on to, im going to buy a winch and springs first, when they wear down i will get better ones all round
WELLZY
my quad is 9 years old and is still running on the original springs and there's nothing wrong with them. you will have a very long wait!!
James
i just want those hl springs because they give the quad a higher weight capacity and approx 1 inch lift?
WELLZY
it'll give you a harder ride and make it even more worse off road.
James
oh really? whats your opinion on the lift kits? winch it is then lol!
WELLZY
no point, more trouble then they are worth.
i'll try and find the video on youtube of why it is a bad idea.
WELLZY
this gives you an idea of what i am talking about
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=OIDpvQ5jjVo
the stock is softer and better off road, but hl springs will make it it harder and worse off road.
James
has nobody zoomed into my picture and noticed the horseboxes numberplate yet?
i have saved up money for those springs, now what should i spend that money on lol
WELLZY
i noticed something on the number plate but did not bother looking at it
winch, dual battery, hotgrips.
James
dont know where i could put the second battery?
WELLZY
make a another bracket, there will always be somewere, even the air box!!
James
i dont think there is room in the airbox, the filter is huge i would say the rear cargo box but that would involve cutting into it and hard to get at
WELLZY
i'll have a poke when we go to tom's
James
okay dokey lol, i suppose i will have to keep the tow rope around the racks from then on then, spent the last few months saving up the money for a winch and some more little things so i cant wait to let loose on the buying. just to decide what to buy
WELLZY
wrap it around you're front bumper?
James
ill weave it through the racks, like having the silver bumper on show even though it has a few dents in it so long as jim brings his big strap again we will be ok tow rope wise haha!
WELLZY
i always have my tow rope's at hand, one on front for towing out people backwards and one for tow hook.
James
i have to say now though, i am considering the clic system thing. with my sra it cant put any pressure on anything, can only do good?
James
ill be cutting the excess thread off the towbar tomorrow, problem is its raining and the shed is a bit tight
WELLZY
still waiting for them to give me the price for it!! i have just e-mailed them asking for an idea on the price.
push half the bike out and work on it then!!
James
as soon as i know the price of them i will consider, i arent really interested in throwing a lot of money at them though.
WELLZY
me too, any more then £250 and forget it. considering what they are £250 sounds about right for what you get. they come with tyres but they are them wildcats
James
i hate wildcats, the patter on them is annoying for some reason lol. thats the price range i was in aswell
James
what mods do you suggest i get then wellz?
WELLZY
farmers use wildcats, it's anoying because they do not wear done quick enough so you are stuck until they have warnen down. they are designed for farmers who no nothing about quads.
there's not that much there and if it will reduce the cost i am saying keep the standerd tyres and just send the clic system and wheels.

| James wrote: | | what mods do you suggest i get then wellz? |
wider front wheels and tyres, poss a clic system, rear top box, fire extin, winch, cv guards, skid plates, rear bumper.
James
ofcourse a fire ext!!! forgot about that, where can i get some boot guards?
grae
ATV services scotland..... and wildcats are cheap thats why farmers fit them, they're shite off road
WELLZY
there good on solid ground but not in the mud.

| WELLZY wrote: | | there good on solid ground but not in the mud. | So are racing slicks but i wouldn't put them on a quad....

only quad i have been on with wildcats on was that honda i hired to recover my quad
grae
Wildcats are pish, shh don't tell my boss i said that.....
WELLZY
yeh but farmers swear by them!! heaps of crap they are!!
grae
Aye farmers swear by them cos they're £5 a set of four.....
WELLZY
i have enough money to afford a set of these and new wheels and i will be even more happy with my old bald tyres then wildcats
James
LOL i take it thats why offroad centres have them too
grae
Uh huh much cheapness....
WELLZY
what about them oversized 12" atv services sell? are they any good?
grae
Yup they're ok, only thing with them is the compound they're made of is a touch soft, good for grip, not so good on your pocket....
WELLZY
dear me!! wat other tyres do you do?
grae
Round black ones.... loads of different makes, bearclaws are a good all rounder, them oversize ones are good as long as you don't go on roads much....
WELLZY
your website says you only do two different types!!
grae
If you email parts dept they're usually quite accomadating, we even sell polaris parts...
WELLZY
i never noticed that!!!

I have never had a problem with wildcats good grip and good off road and good value for money. Yeah there are better tyres for more money. but wildcats take a bit of beating better than bearclaws etc.
