James
solid rear axle, i think! basically i mean the fact that it doesent have irs
WELLZY
what you mean like this?
James
and the only way to fix the lack of irs problem is by fitting huge tyres!!
WELLZY
| James wrote: | | and the only way to fix the lack of irs problem is by fitting huge tyres!! |
hell yes!!
i heard someone had put a 7" lift kit on a honda on the highlifter forum and i said inluss you are going to fit bigger tyres you have just wasted £1500.
James
exactly! the lift kits acctually push the axle down!
WELLZY
i'm not use to straight axle quds so when i was recovering the quad up lochdoon with the honda i was forever wondering why i was getting caught on rocks cause i am use to just saying fuck it and driving over them.
James
yeah, its like wtf! why am i stuck!! then you realise that you are beached!
i suppose i will have to get some big tyres for my birthday, unless the executoners wore down. either that or trade mine in for a brute or a grizz!

exxys last for three years min. i've done 5 mile on mine and only just got the toggle rubber bits off. and you can't hit the throttle eithier because of the tow hook hookin the rock so you have to lift the quad off or if you are lucky reverse off.

Dont you dare buy a kwackazaki, they're shite.... go for the yamaha or even a polaris ( you wont hear me say that very often eh wellzy...) kwackazaki's are pants.....

james, it's diesel, just don't bother they are hopeless, slow, smelly, heavy, hot, unreliable.
grae
Not like you to slag a polaris karl..... you're right though! all the above and they shake themselves to pieces.....
James
oh, right ok then lol
WELLZY
polaris are hopeless, mine has only survived because i take the time to nurse it, but they are bloody amazing when they come out to play!!
James
did wellzy just say the words "polaris" and "hopeless" in the same sentance??????
WELLZY
james, they are as good as honda's 3x4 system.
grae
He did, i witnessed it too!!!!! polaris are good bikes..... when they're going... (which isn't very often but don't tell karl i said that!)
James
haha!, ive read on the hondaforeman.com forum that to turn the difflock on u hold the front break on and accelerate in gear, this sounds like crap but does it work grae??
WELLZY
they don't keep going, my starter solinoid has already packed in and my battery is on it's last tits as well. and some idiot thought well instead of a kick start lets fit a pull start in stead!!
James
why didnt you just sell it when it was broke rather than spend a fortune on it?
grae
Front diff is torque sensing on most hondas so in theory yes it would work. in practice, well ...... suck it and see as jim would say.....
James
alright then, it will be tested at toms farm if i get stuck!
WELLZY
| James wrote: | | why didnt you just sell it when it was broke rather than spend a fortune on it? |
because apart from that, i have never had any trouble with it, it is like a tank and if i am onst my bike is a 1999 where as the starter solinoid is for a 2003 model and there is a difference and the battery was damaged in the crash.
WELLZY
| James wrote: | | alright then, it will be tested at toms farm if i get stuck! |
that won't take long!!
grae
If you like the bike then why not, everynones taste is different, can't all be perfect like me....
James
i only got stuck twice last time, this place where we all got stuck and where saved by and and his winch, and this other where i got beached and jim pushed me out!
what do you think of this grae http://hondaforeman.com/phpBB2/vi...=3f14002ec7e9d0dea27ed25599107ce0
